Terms of Service
Last updated 24 September 2026
1. Who you are dealing with
Mac Control Wheel ("the app") is made and operated by Vít Petras, a self-employed individual registered in the Czech Republic, trading as Mac Control Wheel ("we", "us"). You are entering into this agreement with that person, not with a company.

Purchases are not made from us. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns. Their terms apply to the transaction itself, alongside these terms, which govern your use of the software.
2. What you are buying
A licence to use the app. Not the software itself, and not its source code.
- A Pro licence is a subscription, billed yearly or monthly.
- One licence may be active on two devices at a time. You can see which devices those are inside the app and disconnect any of them yourself.
- The licence is for your own use. Sharing your licence key with other people is not permitted.
3. The trial and the free version
Every installation starts with a 30-day trial of the full app. No account and no payment details are required for it.
When the trial ends the app does not stop working. It continues as a free version with fewer dial positions and a single look. Your configuration is kept, not deleted; if you buy a licence later, it returns exactly as you left it.
We may change what the free version includes. We will not reduce what a paid Pro licence includes during a period you have already paid for.
4. Subscription, renewal and cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time. The app stays Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then becomes the free version.
- Prices are shown in US dollars. Tax is added at checkout according to your country and is handled by Paddle.
5. How you may not use it
By installing or continuing to use the app you accept these terms. In using it, you must not:
- break the law, or use the app to help anyone else break it;
- use it for fraud, spam, or any attempt to deceive other people;
- copy, decompile, resell or redistribute the app, or infringe our rights or anyone else's — the app, its source code, its name and its design remain ours, and a licence gives you the right to use it, nothing more;
- interfere with the app or our servers — no malware, no probing for weaknesses, no scraping, no attempt to bypass or fake the licensing system.
Finding a security weakness and telling us about it is not interference. Write to podpora@maccontrolwheel.com and we will thank you.
6. What the app needs from your Mac
The app reads touch data from the trackpad and the list of running applications. It asks for macOS Accessibility permission to bring applications forward; without it, switching still works but a minimised window will not be raised. See our Privacy Policy for what leaves your computer.
7. Availability and support
The app talks to our licensing server periodically. If that server is unreachable, the app keeps working normally — a licence stays valid offline for several weeks. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the server, and we do not need to.
Support is by email at podpora@maccontrolwheel.com. We are one person, so replies take as long as they take, but every message is read.
8. Warranty and liability
The app is provided as it is. We do not promise it is free of defects or fit for any particular purpose. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country, and where those rights conflict with these terms, your rights win.
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the app at any time, for any reason, without telling us.
We may suspend or end a licence if:
- these terms are seriously broken — in particular section 5;
- payment fails and stays unpaid after we have asked;
- we see fraud, a stolen payment method, or an attack on our servers;
- the same breach keeps happening after we have raised it.
Except where the reason is fraud, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. Where we end a licence you have paid for and the fault is not yours, we refund the unused part of the period.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.
11. Governing law
Czech law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
